Solano Care ~ Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine and Sports Injury Clinic
As a specialist at Solano Care, Rajpreet Dhesi, M.D., goes to work each day knowing he can improve the quality of life for many patients. That matters to him.Ninety percent of work-related injuries are muscular/skeletal, yet they are still some of the least understood problems and are often difficult for other specialists or family doctors to diagnose and treat.
To aid in diagnosis and determine nerve and muscle injuries, Dr. Dhesi uses electro-diagnostic testing in addition to X Rays, MRIs, etc. After identifying problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and pinched nerves in the neck and back, Dr Dhesi concentrates on providing patients with aggressive non-operative treatments. This includes physical therapy, various injections and other alternative modalities. Patients benefit from his medical and biomechanical knowledge of splints, braces, prostheses, exercises, lifestyle and work environment changes, and medications.
Dr Dhesi also promotes a patient’s rehabilitation by coordinating treatments with other health care professionals including doctors, physical therapist, occupational therapist, ergonomic specialist, hypnotherapist to mention a few. Dr Dhesi will take advantage of all the specialties available in the area to improve the care of his patients.
Prior to starting his present practice he has been the Medical Director of the Occupational Medicine Department of local Hospital and Medical Group. He has been practicing medicine for nearly 20 years, more than 7 years in Northern California .
